Why does one enter into a beauty pageant? Scholarship money? What would be the qualifications to win? Looks? So if you win and you get money and your in college and someone asks you what your scholarship was for do you say "because I look good"? My father got a scholarship through track and he was on the track and field team at Weber State University. but they don't have groups or clubs for good looking people. If they do I've never been invited to join. Is that a hint?
Then there is the question and answer section. "If you had one wish what would it be?" "World piece!!" "Stricter fire arms laws for criminals" What would you answer? I can't really argue with world piece I mean wouldn't that alone solve a lot of problems?
There was a question section not to long ago when the answer was soo... bizarre and it made no sense that they are still making fun of it all over the web. What kind of scholarship would you give that girl? A scholarship to a "special" school?
What about children's pageants? My nephew was entered into a pageant. Mind you he was a really cute kid. They had a little talent portion and they talked to them and they saw how comfortable they were around the other kids and on stage. He did win a few pageants and I am not aware of any money he was given. So his parents tried a pageant in California and from what I recall they were so serious it wasn't fun and they never tried again.
I have been told I have cute kids but I just don't find that on any of my to do lists.
Have you ever been in a pageant? I was on a cheer leading squad my freshman year and it was just about being popular and not having fun so I dropped it but I had fun at the games.
What do you think?

I never knew you were on the cheerleading squad.
I tried out my freshman year. I was not chosen because of the issues they had with the boys the two year previous, if you know what I mean.
I went to a miss Iron County pageant one year. The interview part was a joke. Either the girls were really nervous and couldn't think under pressure or they were just stupid. (kind of harsh so I prefer to think the first part). After that, I decided I would run the next year...I never did and really didn't want to. I have never heard of a pageant for boys other than Mr. America and other weight lifting things. Your nephew must be beautiful! j/k Pageants are for parents who think they need to be in the spotlight and make their kids feel that way and then turns them into apperance obsessive crazies who either lose all self esteem or think they are better than others. Just kidding, kind of, some of the pageant queens I have known really have some problems though.
